Cottage Crisis!

Located one hour north of Kingston, the owners of a waterfront cottage recently completed a radon test after speaking with a neighbour whose property we mitigated last year. They were shocked to find out that their radon levels were over 8,000 BqM340 times Health Canada’s recommended level.

The crawlspace presented challenges with granite, concrete platforms, and uneven spray foam walls. Despite that, we successfully built a system that brought their levels down from 8,088 BqM3 to 10 BqM3.

The homeowners were thrilled and wished they had tested earlier. We strongly recommend radon testing for all homes and cottages.

  • Pre-Mitigation Radon Level: 8,088 BqM3

  • Post-Mitigation Radon Level: 10 BqM3
